Account deletion

Last updated: October 24, 2026

This page explains how to delete your account for Sting Player (Android, Windows and website), published by Simple Daily Planner. An account is optional — you can play media without one — so you can delete it at any time and keep using the player.

How to delete your account

  1. In the Android app: tap your profile picture in the top-right corner, scroll to Delete account, type DELETE and tap Delete permanently.
  2. On the website: sign in with the same Google account, open Account, and use Delete account at the bottom of the page.
  3. By email: if you can't sign in, email hello@stingplay.app from the Google address you signed in with, with the subject "Delete my Sting Player account". We will delete it within 30 days and confirm by reply.

Deleting from the app or website happens immediately and cannot be undone.

What is deleted

  • Your sign-in and the link to your Google account
  • Your profile: display name and profile picture
  • Settings you synced to your account (theme, volume, playback preferences)
  • Your free-trial record
  • Your Pro unlock and any special access on the account

Pro is tied to your account. If you bought lifetime Pro, deleting the account removes it on every device and it cannot be restored to a new account. Deleting is not a refund request.

What is kept, and why

  • Payment records: if you paid, the payment provider (Razorpay or Google Play) keeps its transaction record — such as payment ID, amount, date and billing email — as tax and payment laws require. We never store card details.
  • Admin action records: if an admin changed your access (for example, granted Pro), a record of that change, which refers only to your internal account number, is kept for security.

What stays on your devices

  • Your videos and music are never uploaded, so account deletion does not touch them.
  • History, playlists, bookmarks and settings saved on your phone or PC stay there. Clear the app's storage or uninstall to remove them.
  • An optional Google Drive backup lives in your own Drive. Remove it in Google Drive → Settings → Manage apps → Sting Player → Delete hidden app data.
